PostSubject: I moved again   Thu Oct 21, 2010 4:54 am

So I moved to Mexico City. The apartment I lived in was OK, a bit small but OK. The huge problem was the noise. There was a family of trash who lived opposite me in a half-built concrete monstrosity that looks like something from Fallout. Not only did they play loud music and have their brat kids screaming up and down the street, they had a goddamn dog that barked all day and all night and they never did naything to stop it. I mean, doesn't that bother them as well ? Assholes.

Not only thta, but there were a couple of roosters that would crow as s oon as the sun starte dto come up, and some busses and heavy vehicles parked around the corner and beeped and revved their engines early in the morning. It was a pain in the ass and I didn't have a decent night's sleep for three weeks.

So I moved again. I'm now downtown Mexico City and it's nice. My apartment is part of a 100 year old palace that used to belong to some ex-President's daughter which was later divided up into apartments. I'm closer to all the good shit going on in Mexico City and most importantly it's quiet. Happy now.

your story reminds me a hotel i stayed in when i was in Norway that was literally like 2 ft away from a train station, with loud trains and an even louder announcer that shouts stuff in Norwegian .
Anyway congratulations,have a quiet,sleepy life :)

Dia los Muertos !

I'm not 100% sure, but I think it's the day after Halloween. There seems to be stuff on - I don't know if there's a parade or anything but there are a lot of shops selling Halloween / Muertos decorations and nick-nacks and costumes and shit. So yeah, I'm hoping there'll be something interesting to see. I'll be sure to let you know if it's good. I'll be wearing my usual Halloween costume, Naked Australian Teacher.
