Dragon age II Empty
PostSubject: Dragon age II   Dragon age II EmptySun Apr 17, 2011 3:04 am

I finished the game about 3 times now on different difficulty settings (i'm probably gonna write a full review in the near future), and as a huge Dragon Age:Origins fan i have to say that it wasn't a bad game per se, it was just very disappointing
to me as it was (imo) a lot shallower and flatter than origins.

So anyway, what do you guys think?

If only that was the only problem with the game...
But yes it's true
all caves look the same, all warehouses look the same, all the houses look the same, the level design in general is extremely lazy in this game which wasn't the case for Dragon age:origins (which by the way is a much better game than Dragon Age 2 imo and if you have any love for fantasy strategy-RPGs at all you should check it out)

It's hard to say,it's a good game, but not as good as DA:O,but if the cost is not too much of an issue for you,i'd still recommend it

Yes, it's interesting in that the scope is much smaller than Origins. Origins was an epic in every sense of the word, whereas this one is much more personal and intimate. Not necessarily a bad thing, but if you were expecting a follow on from Origins it can be a bit surprising.

And yes, the re-used assets (caves, interiors etc) sticks out like dogs balls. Its odd that they have crafted their world with such care and intricacy, there's tons of history, culture and so on. And then three different caves you re-visit over and over in different locations. A weird sense of BioWare's focus.
