| Ladies and Gentlemen, we have hit the mid-year doldrums. Looking at the release schedule for the X360 I can see nothing of value being released for a while yet. Kane and Lynch 2 ? Meh, and a months away. Mafia II could be great, even further off. HAWX 2 ? Front Mission Evolved ? Not too exciting, and still two months off. There are still big releases coming later this year. But for the next couple of months it's looking pretty damn skinny.

| Eh, it's a good chance to revisit some of your older games, so I'm not complaining. | |

| I'm surprised that there aren't any indie games taking advantage and getting news because of this. Instead game sites have fillers about CoD2010 instead of actual news about games.
Look! Treyarch gives us some new screenshots! Oh! An explosion! And a guy shooting at some other people! And a new gun!

| I hate it when the 'important' games are all scheduled for release in the same 3 month time frame; then there's a period where pretty much nothing is released. | |

That's a very positive way of looking at it. I agree, I'll go sweep up some half-finished titles.

| Taking Drifter's advice I went back and finished Alan Wake, a game that had kind of fallen by the wayside. And I'm really glad I did, it's a nice little story and well worth seeing the end of. The doldrums pay off ! | |

I am going to Install Blood Bowl 2009 right now on my PC and see if I like that. I heard it's a bit buggy, but I love the original tabletop game. I want it but there's no Asian region XOBX version, and my PC is to old and slow to run the PC version. There's a big expansion coming out for it soon with a bunch of extra teams and presumably some patches and stuff for the aspects that were less than stellar in the original.

| I got a PS2. I got some games with it, but not enough to really last me a lifetime.
What games would you guys recommend? (Do not mention Grand Theft Auto games or GTA-likes) |

| I hear a bunch of people blubbering about Shadow of the Colossus like I blubber over Cryostasis and Penumbra, so it might be worthwhile. | |

Seriously? You can find it new for under $20, easy.

Seriously? You can find it for under $20, easy. And that $20 is used and goes entirely to the vendor without giving any money to the developer or producer anyway. There is a gamestop across the road from another gamestop, not even a half a mile away from it, they are doing fine. It's the developers and publishers I care about, and they're not getting money in that deal. So I pay nothing. I only buy PC games if it's through the developer's site or through an online seller like Direct2Drive or STEAM because they still get money from that. Console games are different, as I generally don't like modifying the consoles unless they are fairly risk-free like the Wii or PSP. I went out and bought Rogue Galaxy and Summoner today at a gamestop. I saw Beyond Good and Evil, but it was $12 and my budget was $12. Rogue Galaxy was $10 and Summoner was $2. BEST DEAL! |

I meant new. They're still making copies, and it's Greatest Hits now. Also, get Red Dead Revolver. Unless you have an original X-Box. The X-Box version's better.
