| When I was a kid the national anthem of Australia used to be 'God Save The Queen', the national anthem of the UK. My primary school was a state school and every morning we used to raise the Australian flag and sing 'God Save The Queen'.

| High school was the first time I had ever seen people simply not say the pledge (including teachers).
Before that, it seemed like everyone just accepted it. | |
