| OK, so we're all gamers of one stripe or another. And gamers are, traditionally, fat and unhealthy. No big secret there, our main hobby involves sitting still and movement is restricted to the thumbs and occasionally mashing Cheetoes between your drooping man-breasts.
So just how fat are you, lard ass ?
Me, to be honest I'm overweight. By about 10kg (22 lbs) or thereabouts.
And it's all on my gut. I exercise about 3-4 times a week by going to the gym so I have some muscle. I also don't have a car, so I walk or cycle everywhere. But I love to eat. I eat too much and I eat the wrong stuff. I also drink way too much beer. So all my fat is on my gut.
Just how fat are you ? And if so / if not, why or why not ? How much exercise do you get and how well do you eat ?

| Well...15 kg to kill. I used to do some heavyweight, but I got la-a-a-az-z-z-y-y-y. Not much power in my divine body, though it's summer now and I intend to do some magic. | |

| I would not say that im "fat", not so much as im "lacking any muscles in the stomach area wich makes me look fat in a weird way"
I dont exercise at al, but I do lift weights at home, not that it shows, and Im pretty sure I lift them in a uneffective way as well. Oh well, at least I get some kind of musscles in some parts of my arms anyway.
And sometimes I do try situpps, but the problem is that I dont know whats the right way to do them. So it feels quite pointless.
Main reason that Im not that fat is that I dont eat that much.

Lie down. Hook your feet under something like the underside of your sofa / bed, whatever. Make sure your kness are bent, so you're making a traingle shape with your legs and the floor. Don't lie with your legs flat, as doing situps this way can be bad for your back. Cup your hands around your ears with your elbows sticking up at the ceiling. Sit all the way up. DON'T pull yourself up by your head or neck, just cup your ears lightly. Stop when your elbows touch your knees, or go a bit further if you a flexible enough. Lay back down again. Do it slowly, don't jerk upright and then flop down, it should be a slow, controlled movement in each direction. Repeat until you puke / cry. This is your maximum reps for one single set. But you don't want to do this every time. When you are exercising regularly, do half this number, lie still and rest for one minute only, do that number again, rest again, do that number one last time. So for example if my original maximium was 40 situps, I'd normally do 20, rest, 20, rest, 20. If you can't complete all these reps, especially in the final set then that's OK, try again tomorrow. If you can actually complete all these situps then the next day raise your target reps by 1 for each set. This way you're alwys progressing. It's also a good idea to do half your situps using the sides of your abs. Do this by rolling your shoulders to one side while you are lying down, then touch the elbow that is sticking up to the opposite knee. In other words, roll onto your right so your left arm is sticking up. Sit up still slightly twisted this way and touch that left elbow to your right knee. This works your muscles more evenly.

| I'm in for some push-ups now Really hard 'coz i'm doing them on fists and on solid floor. I do 3 atempts (30-20-20). First 30 push-ups is a warm up then go for it. My bro used to do tons of training so I know basics pretty well. Next exersise is (I don't know how it's calld in English). You sit down then you stand up...pretty easy. You'll have awsome leges, your blood will circulate better, you'll be able to walk/run/jump with for long time...and your dick will be able to do its deed for a long time (even around 60 years). | |

Main reason that Im not that fat is that I dont eat that much. By not eating too much you're doing half the job. People often worry about not doing any exercise but pay little attention to the fact that they're eating too much during the day. I'm trying to eat in smaller portions nowadays because I'm sick of feeling stuffed after lunch and dinner. I stop eating when I feel slightly full, and that's it. Not that I follow my own advice rigorously enough though... But by doing some basic exercises you can bulk up your core strength and reduce the risk of back injury and/or pain, among other things. I go to Exrx.net for inspiration. As for sit-ups: CrunchesSit-ups

No problem, happy to help! Apart from the vast number of very good instructions on specific exercises there's plenty of interesting general reading on the subject as well as suggestions on programs and diet.

| Hmm.... Interresting tips, Uberman and Swedish guy. Turns out my earlier sittups have all been crunches. Hmmm. Ok, so ill try doing the sittups shown in the link and Ubers post. But still, theres no guarantee I wont do them wrong anyway. And Ive always been told that lying down on the ground after going up is "the wrong" way( my old basketball coatch said youre suppossed to not go all the way down or all the way up, since it makes you mussles relax or something) but yea, thanx. Im going on holliday tomorrow, so Ill try doing sittups described to me here whenever I have time alone. Well see how it turns out. | |

| 49kg ? Wow ! I weigh about 105 kg. It would take two of you and then some more to weigh a single Uberman.
Mind you I am 6'4" (190cm) tall, so that's my excuse for being so heavy. And my muscles. And my fat gut.

| I'm 195cm and 100 kg. I'm pretty strong, work out regularly, but I still have about 9 of those kg to lose.

| I am five-foot-ten to five-foot-eleven, and weigh between 135 and 140 pounds. I've never gone above 140, and during rougher periods in my life, I've gone down to 130.
I used to eat like a mad man, but lately, my appetite has gone way down. I guess my metabolism is already slowing down. I'm 20 btw.
