Seems like it may be a cool game. I like the idea of reading people's expressions to figure out when they're lying or not. Hopefully the game is focused more on this kind of thing (you know, actual detective work) and not just a bunch of shootouts. I like shooting things as much as the next guy, but if I wanted to do that I'd just play any number of other games. Considering that it's based on real crimes and a real detective, though, I don't think that'll be a problem.
Also, I urge Uberman to consider it for an R.W.E.P. Between this, the official trailer and the original teaser, there's probably enough footage for a full length video.

I am a huge, huge fan of Noir movies. I studied and wrote about them extensively at university. Love 'em.
I think this game looks great so far. We'll have to see how it actually shakes out but so far I'm hopeful. The facial expression thing was once touted for the original Mass Effect game, but ended up being just decorative and not an actual part of the gameplay. So I'll hold off on judgement for that.
But yeah, if its open world, plot based and noir, I think it'll be great. So far I imagine it'll be something like Mafia, open world but without all the side missions you get in a GTA style game.
And yes, I'll almost certainly do a RWEP vid on it sooner or later.

Hey guys, haven't been on this forum for ages O.O I'm really got high hopes for this game... I've never really played Rockstar games, except a bit of GTA SA. This one got my attention because I, like Uberman, am interested in the whole Noire theme... The thing that turned me off GTA is that whole 'ghetto gangster' kind of thing, but this has more class XD

Just to be perfectly clear, this is not being developed by Rockstar, they are only publishing it.

I saw on a lot of youtube comments, people saying that they'd buy anything by Rockstar... Anyways, I still think it looks like a great game!

I love playing games so I can look at the character's facial expressions.
No, unless this facial intricacy actually plays a huge part in the game, and makes something different of the core gameplay, then it's just going to be another gimmick that gets boring after a week. I'm more interested in the plot and open-world aspects of it.

Well apparently it's going to be used to help you decide whether or not people are lying. I don't know though. What's the core gameplay even supposed to be though?
Now where have I seen this video before? Oh yeah, the top of this page
Haha, my bad... Sorry

More gameplay trailers and in my opinion, looking better than ever. The interface looks really GTA-esque. But it looks like there's a lot of conversations and evidence examination as well. Hopefully lots of that and not too much shooting/action. Anyway, looking tasty.

The classic action and shooting looks a bit too classic to me. But thats a lot of facial animation alright! And the interogation mecanic seems fresh and fun.

Its released now, or at least the reviews are coming. It does seem very new in both style and gameplay.
At least in the interogation, investigation, story and facial expression department. The shooting and driving looks like every other third person game.....
Im not a big fan of open world driving though, so Ill probably skip it.

You can get your partner to do the driving for you.

But then I would be WATCHING someone open-world driving. And that would be terrible.
