| Sometimes it feels like every game needs a multiplayer in order to be enjoyed fully. If you can think of any, name a game or several, whitch dont need a multiplayer in order to be enjoyable.
Im playing Dark messiah of might and magic at the moment, and I consider it to be one of those games. Sure it has a mp, but I havnt played it, and I dont think I wil, since the sp is good enough on its own.
I guess most sandbox open world games would count, since theres a lot to do in those.

I am not a big fan of multiplayer in general so i usually stick with the single player in anything besides a mmorpg, the only game i feel i HAVE to play multiplayer is warcraft III with my RL friends (wether it's strategy, dota or a tower defense map).

| The Darkness. I can't speak for the quality of the multiplayer because no one plays it, but as a single-player experience it's great. | |

I played the darkness sp, but I liked the concept more than the actual game. They are making a sequel. I cant find the article were they say it, but they are.

Apparently a different developer is making the sequel. I haven't played The Darkness but it was released closer to Assault on Dark Athena than to Escape from Butcher Bay, so it can't have been that great.

That's some... interesting logic you're working with there. I'll admit, in the gameplay department it's nothing spectacular, but the style and the narrative are what make it great (which is why I suspect the multiplayer wouldn't be that good anyhow.)

Well, Butcher Bay was excellent, and Dark Athena wasn't.

I got that much. It just seems odd to assume that because a game was released closer to a mediocre game than a great one, it's likely not very good.

Don't know anything about it really, except that the awesome Mike Patton is doing voicework for it again. I am also exclusively a single player gamer. I never, never play multi. In my experience, genre is a factor. RPGs are almost always single player focussed (except for online MMOs of course), as are stealth games. These days it seems like almost all FPS and racing games are more heavily focussed on multiplayer.
