Also, I'll concede to the example about dolphins, but otherwise I don't think animals do things out of cruelty, they just do them because.

Dolphins are supposed to be the only animals apart from humans that have sex for pleasure, so I would say that it's for pleasure's sake rather than the sole intention of being cruel.

I have 6 budgies at home, and at first we bought two, we thought they were 1 male and one female. They were kissing and shit, so I just kinda assumed they were in love. Then the "girl" died, and apparently it was a male al along. Anyway the bird that was left went all depressed and started to sing for a lamp cord. So we bought a new bird, female this time. FIRST THING the male fucking did was flying to the girl and RAPE HER. And it was obvious she wasnt into it, cause she always tried to run away(she wasnt very good at flying, witch made it very easy for bird 1 to rape)

So after months of that, she layed eggs, but he still wouldnt leave her the fuck alone. He waited outside her nest and assaulted her whenever she came out for water. For some reason he was very nice to her when she was in there, he fed her and so on, but as soon she even looked out: RAPE TIME!

So the kids grew up about a month ago. He tries to fuck one of them from time to time, but atleast it can fight back, and he leaves the mum alone now.

BTW, it might sound like we treat these birds wrong, but I think they have a relatively good life to most other pet birds, they are free to fly around the room all they want for example.
