| The Uberwench wanted to see Thor, so we went to the cinema only to find that Thor was sold out. So we went and watched Limitless instead. Its a decent thriller with an interesting premise. Nothing too special, but a decent way to spend an hour and a half or so. But only after walking out of the cinema did I realise something kind of creepy in the story ... - Spoiler:
So the movie has a kind of pseudo-happy ending. The protagonist gets away with it, outsmarts the bad guys, and we guess he's going to become President one day and possibly solve all the world's problems. The End.
However.
There's a part of the story where he's having blackouts. In one blackout he goes to a hotel room with a woman, and we later learn she was murdered there. It's never explicitly stated if the protagonist did it or not, but it's a plot point that he has to avoid this murder charge. So I was kind of waiting for this to be resolved somehow - that towards the end we'll find out that someone framed him for the murder, perhaps the bodyguard character who gets cutu on the fcae by the ice-skate.
But this never happens. In fact, once the ending gets rolling, it's never mentioned again.
We know he was there, we know an eyewitness identified him, we know he sometimes gets violent in his blackout (he gets in a fight with a bunch of guys), we know a high-priced, sleazy lawyer gets him off the charges. And no one else is ever blamed for the crime. So pretty much everything points to him having done it, and completely getting away with it.
Which is kind of creepy for the 'hero', really.

I need me a PunchWench... or a FoxWench... wait... Across the lifetime of this forum there have been several Uberwenches. The current one is of high quality and will probably be retained for a while. Case in point - she loves superhero movies.

| She thinks what I tell her to think, or she'll feel the back of my hand again. Same thing if she dares to venture out of the kitchen.
Actually she saw someone call me 'Uberman' on my FaceBook wall, and asked my why. I explained it to her, but I still don't think she fully gets it. She's not much of a computer person.
